Leading Agile Teams

with ICF Master Executive Coach, Tony Latimer, MCC BCC

1 Day Master Class

Singapore, FEBRUARY 2020

THE PROBLEM

As agile work methods spread from the IT department across the entire company operation, there are more people becoming responsible for the performance of others, yet without the benefit of formal management background or training.

Agile training teaches you to manage the processes and the ceremonies, yet often leaves people struggling with handling behaviours.

The problems accumulate and slow the responsiveness of the organisation to a rapidly changing environment; and lower employee engagement.

Managers are always short of time; and just getting busier as the pace of change increases. They cannot keep being the “bottle-neck” problem solver for their teams. They cannot have their teams only able to learn at the pace the leader is able to teach them.

True leadership in the current business environment means having time to “smell the horizon” and anticipate what is coming, and how the composition and competencies of their teams needs to adapt.

THE SOLUTION

Individuals responsible for the performance of others in an agile environment need the communication skills and coaching techniques specifically designed for the application of coaching in the workplace and easily understood and adopted by technically oriented teams.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Experiential Activity Learning
People only learn what they believe they need to learn; and only apply what they discover for themselves. Our masterclasses are highly experiential and designed to appeal to an audience who may not easily relate to traditional “soft skills” training. Participants experience actual results delivered by the practical application of the skills being taught; and get to analyse the behavioural change and results.

Case Study Discussion
The group will benefit from discussion of past project examples of rapid organisational change delivered by adoption of these principles.

Plan of Change
A critical step is translating the learning into action that can be taken on return to work; supported by the use of TheCoachingApp™ and ongoing coaching support from us.
